Cain International (‘Cain’), the privately held investment firm, has reached practical completion at its Barnsley 340 logistics site.

The Grade A warehouse asset comprises 344,635 sq. ft. which includes 20,000 sq. ft. of office space. It is the penultimate asset to complete in Cain’s initial £550m logistics portfolio acquisition from Firethorn Trust and holds a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’, achieving net-zero carbon in its construction. The portfolio’s final asset, Sherburn 42, is set to complete in Q4 2023. Located within the Gateway 36 development, an established industrial scheme, close to Junction 36 of the M1, Barnsley 340 provides strong connectivity links to Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham.

The site is being delivered by Firethorn Trust on behalf of Cain. Knight Frank and GV Property acting as lettings agents.

Rebecca Schofield, Partner at Knight Frank, Sheffield said: “Barnsley 340, with its best-in-class specification, excellent proximity to the motorway providing easy access across South and West Yorkshire as well as the wider UK, makes it a prime site for tenants looking to either establish or develop their business.”
