Combilift, the largest global manufacturer of multidirectional trucks, articulated forklifts and straddle carriers is thrilled to announce that the new Combi-CB70E model has been honoured with the coveted Italian Terminal and Logistics Award in the Product Innovation category. The Italian Terminal and Logistics Award is a significant industry recognition, presented annually to highlight the skills of operators in port, intermodal and logistics terminals both in Italy and abroad. The Combi-CB70E is a further addition to Combilift’s ever growing range of electric models which offers powerful performance, extensive battery life and unrivalled ergonomics.

To help improve consistency across operational functions, Briggs has now been appointed as the sole supplier of MHE to Romiley Board Mill. The first phase of new equipment was delivered recently, which included a fleet of LPG and Electric Yale Forklifts, complete with paper clamp attachments and a comprehensive set of safety features.

Products of robotics companies and several mainstream forklift and material handling technology provider will be on full display at LogiMAT 2024, which returns to the Messe Stuttgart convention centre March 19–21, 2024. Based on compact transport platforms enhanced with robotic components, AMRs are replacing both forklifts and fixed material handling systems in every phase of warehouse processes and in the supply of production and assembly sites. AMR and robotics manufacturers will fill all 10,500 square metres of Hall 6 as well as selected booths in the gallery of Hall 1.

With numerous factors and challenges for cold storage operators to overcome, L.A.C. is ideally placed to integrate bespoke solutions as the sole UK integrator for Exotec. Designed to assist operators in preparing ambient and temperature-sensitive orders, the Exotec solution fully automates the picking and transportation of order items between the storage racking structure and pick stations, using Skypod® mobile robots, according to our cold storage and distribution feature.

BID Group Ltd carried out a recent Loading Bay refurbishment. The project is part of an ongoing Dock Leveller replacement programme for a National Account customer. In addition to a new Dock Leveller, the pit was extended to allow less gradient when loading and unloading, a new shelter replaced the original which was damaged due to vehicle impacts and, to provide security, a new automated roller shutter door was installed, our loading bay feature reports.
