Corporación Colombiana de Logística (CCL), one of the leading logistics operators in Colombia with a nationwide presence and distribution from the main cities, once again turned to AR Racking for the extension of its warehouse in Barranquilla. CCL relied on AR Racking for a project of more than 17,000 pallets in the past and did not hesitate to count on the storage systems specialists again to optimise the efficiency of its intralogistics.
On this occasion, the assignment was to extend a warehouse in Barranquilla, a strategic location given its port location and industrial activity. AR Racking installed a double deep adjustable pallet racking solution, generating 4,400 pallet positions over an area of 2,197 m2. “In this system, the pallets are stored at two depths, thus achieving higher storage density, while at the same time access to the pallets continues to be simple and relatively quick,” explained Edward Suescún, General Manager of AR Racking Colombia. The racking has 7 levels of beams.
According to Ricardo López, National Operations Director of CCL, “As logistics operators, facilities must always be prepared for easy operation, at their full capacity and easily adaptable to our customers’ requirements. The reason we entrusted AR Racking once again was because of the direct and close relationship with the technical-sales team, the proven quality of its structures and a more than reasonable delivery deadline,” López added.
