Hallgruppen is a giant in the world of site-assembled, clear-span demountable buildings and is now operating directly in the UK and ready to transform the market.

Broadly speaking we offer two main types of structure, the well-known aluminium-framed Temporary Building – but with a couple of significant improvements and options – and steel-frame demountable buildings for when the limitations of aluminium won’t do.

Most of our Temporary Buildings look like those the UK market is already well familiar with; usually a PVC roof with cladded steel or sandwich panel walls, fixed to an existing hardstanding.

You need to step inside though to understand one key advantage. Thanks to a stronger frame there’s no space-limiting features common with others, which is really significant if you want to maximise usage inside.

Eave-height “snow loading wires” limit your options for racking and those side frame-supporting trusses (or “chicken beams”) also limit your consistent height available and might cause issues for vehicles manoeuvring inside. As you can see, the full extent of our Temporary Building interior is usable; no constraints with Hallgruppen.

And then we offer a full steel exterior, not just the walls: you don’t need to have a PVC roof on a Temporary Building, though a flat concrete base is preferable for that.

We’ve realised it will take time for the UK market to accept one of the key advantages though; our insulated padded PVC covers are really all you need. They fit several bays together and in a single piece floor to floor meaning excellent insulation and sealing, including a “no fly zone” promise for food and pharmaceutical industry use. Unlike the popular inflated PVC roof, there’s no power supply needed and no gaps between roof and walls as these covers are fitted as a single piece, which is far more energy efficient. They don’t dent or crumple when knocked and, if hit with a large or fast-moving object, are cheaper and easier to replace or repair in sections, so more resilient than a steel exterior.

With the aluminium frame system, besides stronger frames and more options, our USP is the speed. Our newly opened UK warehouse is well stocked with the standard sizes meaning very quick lead times which can make all the difference. Because we deal in high quantity, we believe we offer industry leading prices and very fair end-of-rental terms too, something so many buyers overlook when comparing the market.

But what when you need something larger or more insulated or fire-resilient than is possible with an aluminium frame?

Our steel frame buildings have similar options for covers than the Temporary but can hold much thicker covers and fitted in larger pieces, meaning even greater insulation and features like solar panels or fire resilience to satisfy even the most demanding of insurance companies.

A steel frame building is designed afresh and you can literally have any size you need; there’s no limits in size or height and steel buildings don’t sway in the wind because the groundseal is far more effective.

Although any application is suitable, you’ll more often find a steel frame building in use for port warehouses, bulk storage, aircraft hangars, waste transfer/sorting or highly wind-exposed industrial locations or when you need a bespoke shape.

So whether you need a simple covered loading canopy, a cross-dock enclosure to entire warehouse solutions (or workshops, machine shops etc), standalone or extensions, low care or high, ambient or chilled, Hallgruppen can help.

Designed in Norway and deployed in some of the harshest climes across the globe, our buildings are ready and fully compliant for any location where they’re needed.
