NeilMed®, who has over 500 employees and subsequently outgrew their existing warehouse, required a new storage system to make the best use of the available space at their new warehouse in Croydon, South London. Recognising that the world-leading pharmaceutical company supply millions of products to end users through many various channels, a suitable pallet racking system with optimal storage space was paramount.
Initial planning stages for BiGDUG consisted of liaising with the world’s leading designers, carrying out several site visits, and conducting detailed surveys to better understand how NeilMed® intend to use the warehouse space. This, combined with sourcing innovative and cost-effective solutions to the pharmaceutical’s exact specifications, allowed BiGDUG to construct a personal and bespoke action plan.
The complete storage solution was realised through an advanced and superior 60-bay pallet racking system that could store up to 486 pallets in total. As part of the solution, which was completed from start to finish in just ten days, BiGDUG supplied and installed pallet racking with timber decks, anti-collapse mesh safety screens and frame leg protectors.
Now, thanks to their properly utilised warehouse, NeilMed® can continue to operate their warehouse effectively and efficiently with the necessary specifications for being certified for pharmaceuticals operation.
