Wessex Packaging has introduced two new packing workstations as part of its packaging solutions range, the PackHub™, and PackHub™ Plus.
Designed for an efficient packing process, Wessex’s product development team have collaborated with logistics and supply chain partners to create a packing bench that is fit for the fulfilment process.
The new PackHub™ benches are made from industrial grade steel to give the stability and durability that is needed in busy warehouse environments, with a substantial 30mm thick laminate worktop. The flexible format allows for a top shelf with dividers; a shadow board to hold tools, trays, and part bins; and the PackHub™ Plus has an additional undercounter storage unit to hold flat card, or that can be moved out to the side of the bench to pack larger boxes more ergonomically.
The team at Wessex also listened to feedback about how any new workstation development needed to be suitable for as many operators as possible, to help make their packing, wrapping and postal jobs easier. As a result, each PackHub™ bench features an adjustable worktop height from 800mm to 1000mm, helping to make the work environment as ergonomic and efficient as possible.

The ergonomic design of the packing station also helps make the process easier for the operator, with less awkward bending, stretching, and moving from side to side, helping reduce the risk of Musculo-skeletal disorders.
