How we came to be
The Sophia Gardens disaster Cardiff, and the International Fair disaster Katowice (Poland) claiming 65 lives were both tragic events. They have two things in common amongst others. They were both caused by heavy snowfall, and they both helped spawn the birth of Sense Monitoring.
In 2012 a surveyor, a programmer and a civil engineer came together with one idea, a shared goal! How to prevent such disasters from happening in the future. The answer was the creation of the S-One and Smart Roof application system in 2017.
What do we mean to you
Managing a network of buildings brings with it many challenges, safety and maintenance being a big part. Now more than ever with Climate Change and an increase in unpredictable and extreme weather conditions, an autonomous solution to these challenges is needed.
This system has been revolutionary in the way it is possible to manage and maintain a network of buildings. To put it simply, the sensors measure the deflection in the roof’s structure with great accuracy, while the application collects and analyses the data every 3 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This in turn gives information to the user enabling them to forecast snow removal actions without the deployment of a manual team. Due to the accuracy and frequency of this information, unnecessary and costly snow removal actions can be avoided, making the S-One Smart Roof application a cost effective solution. A valuable tool in risk assessment and optimising maintenance cost, the S-One and Smart Roof application system is a simple idea with highly effective results.
Who we are
We are a technology company operating since 2017 in the commercial real estate industry. The creator of a unique, patented system for measuring displacements of structural elements of buildings. The system under the trade name Sense S-One and the Smart Roof application, offers market-leading solutions that improve safety and optimises the operating costs of buildings with flat roofs. Over 2,000,000 m 2 of roof area is under the care of the system. The company’s clients include, among others: T-Mobile, VW, Woodward, Bridgstone, Panattoni Europe and Bricoman.
Where we are going
At the beginning of 2023, 6 years after coming onto the open market, the Sense S-One and the Smart Roof application system will hit the UK for the first time. This being part of a larger deployment across Europe and the UK, targeting five countries and ten cities. But we believe this is just the beginning.
Since 2018 we have been cooperating with BIK S.A. The Swedish Investor has now made the S-One System standard equipment in all newly constructed facilities.
Our aim is for the S-One and Smart Roof System to become a new standard for all large-area buildings.
