A trio of industry-leading e-commerce solution providers – Hugo Beck, Clearmark and YPS – are teaming up for this year’s IMHX exhibition in September with a new industry-disrupting model, the FLEXO 700 E-COM, part of the paper or plastic E-commerce range from YPS.

The all-in-one FFSM bagging machine with print and apply labelling capabilities combines the wrapping automation expertise of German machinery manufacturer Hugo Beck with Clearmark’s outstanding British-made labelling technology. Designed to streamline e-commerce and mail order applications, the system delivers enhanced speed and efficiency, as well as total accuracy for high-speed, high-volume operations and is supplied exclusively in the UK by YPS.

Using opaque flexible shrink films, including those with blends of 30%+ recycled content, the FLEXO 700 E-COM forms tight shipping bags for varied size products that adapt seamlessly to each product’s exact length. This void-avoiding method minimises material waste and improves the aesthetic finish of all bags. Furthermore, the machine boasts a 700mm wide sealing jaw which is completely unrivalled in the market and is able to accept a diverse array of e-commerce products, future-proofing any operation. Meanwhile, the integrated VULCAN print & apply labelling system, a unique non-pneumatic application, allows shipping labels to be applied seamlessly as the film is moving, removing the need for the old fashioned ‘tamp’ application. This system significantly decreases the cycle time and increases throughput, resulting in an efficient and reliable, maintenance free label application, without pneumatic parts or compressed air consumption. The game-changing Flexo 700 E-COM unit, which can reduce labour costs by replacing up to 8 people per line compared to a manual process, will be available for live demonstrations on YPS’s stand, 5B49, between 6th-8th September.

YPS will also be exhibiting the Max Pro 24 vertical bagging machine, which is the widest autobagging unit of its kind currently available on the market. Accepting bags up to 600mm wide, the Max Pro’s aperture is roomy enough to bag two shoeboxes side by side. Plus, with a thermal Zebra printer for direct on-bag printing and precision bag deflators, the Max Pro 24 makes light work of larger hand-loaded e-commerce packs. YPS will be demonstrating the unit’s capacities live using a range of 100% recyclable, high-definition printed and branded poly bags.

Finally, YPS will have the SX bagger in tow, an all-electric table-top bagger that’s small but mighty. Low maintenance, simple to operate and powered by a standard 230v 3 pin plug, the SX offers lower volume bagging applications the utmost convenience and flexibility. Visitors are encouraged to bring sample packs to the show to test its bagging expertise for themselves.
