Pesquera Exalmar S.A.A., leader in the capture, processing and marketing of quality marine products, has upgraded its installations in Chicama and Tambo de Mora thanks to the storage solutions of AR Racking, integrated industrial racking supplier for all types of loads.

AR Racking designed and installed a solution with manual picking solutions with 210 loading plans at the Chicama plant, whose installations were remodelled and which now has a storage area of 203 m2 in a fully optimised space. With picking solutions, also known as rack picking, Pesquera Exalmar will be able to store small and medium-sized goods manually in a very versatile way and with direct access to all the references.

Pesquera Exalmar also decided to extend the Tambo de Mora plant. After analysing the characteristics of the plant, AR Racking installed a mezzanine floor to gain storage space at height. With this solution the company will have an extra storage space in an area initially dedicated exclusively to offices.

In addition to the mezzanine floor, AR Racking also installed a Drive in compact pallet racking system in Tambo de Mora, generating parallel aisles inside the structure and optimising the space by over 80%.

As Pedro Arce, Pesquera Exalmar Logistics Manager explained, “our leadership and growth require precise, agile and adaptable logistics. Our Chicama and Tambo de Mora plants are now far more efficient thanks to AR Racking and we now have full control over the stock and excellent operational agility”. In the final quarter of 2021, Pesquera Exalmar’s sales increased by 46%, achieving last year a total EBITDA of US$ 117 million, the highest level obtained by the company in its three decade-long history. The company currently has 7 plants and more than 22 operating vessels.

“Peru’s leading companies can trust in AR Racking to find the right solution in terms of quality, deadlines and capacity”, commented AR Racking Sales Consultant Ledy Alfaro. With its offices and product stock warehouse in Lima, the industrial racking specialist continues to consolidate its position in the Peruvian market, adding value to companies’ supply chains.
