Welcome to the Warehouse & Logistics News IMHX 2022 Show Focus, helping you benefit the most from your time at the show. The supply chain touches almost every aspect of our lives, with every physical product we purchase having come from a warehouse and travelled via the logistics sector to reach us. This is why IMHX is so vital: it is the biggest event of the year for anyone involved in operating supply chains in the UK. The event brings together retailers, warehouse operators, manufacturers, transporters and developers.

Running over three days from Tuesday 6th to Thursday 8th September, IMHX is a B2B exhibition for the UK’s intralogistics industry. It brings together an array of suppliers who are integral to the optimisation, integration, automation, and logistical management to meet with thousands of professionals from across the UK’s vast supply chain network.

IMHX also hosts a multi-track, educational seminar programme where expert-led conversations deliver unmissable thought leadership, actionable insights and practical advice for tackling the challenges of today and tomorrow.

The show hosts the UK’s largest and most comprehensive showcase of materials handling equipment, services and software. It is a marketplace for those who are engaged in the buying cycle; whether that is ready-to-buy or research.

The event, which last took place in 2019 ahead of the global Covid-19 pandemic, will bring together world-class suppliers to showcase intralogistics and supply chain solutions across three days of interactive demonstrations, exciting new product announcements and immersive experiences – each designed to help companies stay ahead of the shifting landscape of logistics and supply chain processes.

As technology continues to play a crucial role in shaping the future of supply chains, IMHX 2022 will not only provide a fascinating opportunity to discover artificial intelligence, robotics, and automated handling systems throughout the event, but it will also use cutting-edge technology solutions to create a more exciting event experience for visitors.

The Sustainability Zone, which is a brand-new addition for 2022 and is delivered by SEC Group and sponsored by Cranfield University, Crown Lift Trucks and Intelligent Energy, will harmonise a physical and virtual experience through the power of augmented reality. This ground-breaking feature will enable visitors to fully immerse themselves in the existing solutions that can be adopted as sustainability continues to be a key focus across supply chain operations.

Combilift will be exhibiting around 16 models on one of the show’s largest stand areas to showcase tried and tested products as well as new ones. New electric models will take centre stage and include the Combi-MR4, a 4-wheel electric powered multidirectional reach truck with Combilift’s new Dynamic 360° ™ steering. This enables seamless directional change while on the move, allowing forward, sideward and crab steer mode for speedy operation. For maximum use of low level space in racking, two drive wheels at the rear and two sets of smaller dual front wheels provide a platform height as low as 380mm. Also on the stand will be the latest new model – the Combi-FSE four wheeled, two directional sideloader with 5,000kg or 6,000kg lift capacity. Like the Combi-XLE, this focusses on heavier duty applications for industry sectors such as timber, steel, tubes & pipes and builders merchants. It delivers on all aspects of reliability, durability, powerful performance and ease of maintenance, combined of course with the quiet and emission free electric operation that more and more customers are demanding.

EnerSys is presenting its NexSys® family of virtually maintenance-free products at the show. The NexSys® PURE product is an effective alternative to Lithium-ion (Li-ion) chemistry, based on Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology enhanced by the addition of carbon. It’s a virtually maintenance-free solution, optimised for fast and opportunity-charging and ideal for medium to heavy duty applications. The firm will also present its NexSys® iON (Li-ion) battery solutions that are built to the highest safety, design and manufacturing standards, and ideal for heavy-duty applications. NexSys® iON (Li-ion) batteries are available in a scalable range of sizes and configurations. They also feature fully integrated battery management controls that support greater safety, reliability and battery life. EnerSys is very excited to demonstrate its new EnSite™ modelling software to help customers to make data-driven decisions. EnSite® modelling software is a highly-developed analytics tool exclusive to EnerSys®, that leverages data from a client’s operations and lift equipment to simulate how various power systems would perform in a facility – before the client invests both time and money in them. The system compares different battery and charger combinations to find the solution that supports the required throughput levels while minimising Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for each operation.

Narrow Aisle’s stand will present at least a few of the key Flexi products from its range, as well as solar battery charging technology, Cobotic interface picking in aisle solutions, and space frame ‘High Bay’ lift mast technology. At IMHX Narrow Aisle is taking the opportunity to demonstrate the benefits of the new Flexi ACiON and LiTHiON products. The new technology includes integrated solar charging of Flexi batteries with on-site storage of energy. The firm’s Flexi Warehouse Systems Division will be exhibiting. They use 30 years of industry experience to develop customers’ projects looking at all the elements that influence the efficiency of their operation and future payback of their new warehouse, especially the concept of compressing the project timeframe to accelerate implementation and therefore payback starts earlier.

Not only does LAC have its own stand at IMHX, the firm will also be joining Exotec on their stand. This means LAC can showcase all key technologies and services it can offer; from solutions design, project deployment and software right through to maintenance and support. LAC is going to demonstrate some new high speed belt conveyors at the show and present some new videos of solutions landed in the previous year.

IMHX promises to be an exciting opportunity to see the latest innovation that will be hitting the supply chain. Come and see us on the Warehouse & Logistics News stand.
