The Children’s Hospital Charity based in Sheffield helps transform key facilities at Sheffield Children’s hospital including a Safeguarding Support Unit and redevelopment of the Cancer and Leukaemia Ward. 2022 projects focus on transforming the Major Trauma Centre and building the Helipad appeal.

Richard Pulfrey – Storopack Managing Director comments “The Storopack Group is committed to supporting charitable causes and The Children’s Hospital Charity has been a nominated charity for Storopack since 2018. We are proud to support this deserving charity who do brilliant work to improve facilities for children at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Their funding relies heavily on local businesses, groups and individuals. The latest capital appeals are for a new Major Trauma Centre and Helipad. We hope funds raised in our Storopack ‘Bikeathon’ this year will go some way to help supporting these large improvement projects.”

Having previously taken part in the Theo’s 30 in 30 challenges, this year the Storopack team planned a ‘Bikeathon’, based at Brackley, to help raise funds for the charity’s 2022 Bear Miles Challenge. They hired an exercise bike and in June the team cycled the distance from Storopack Brackley to Storopack Sheffield and back with a few extra miles added on. There was plenty of camaraderie and competitive fun with the small group of non-cyclists hopping on and off the exercise bike during the month.

Through generous donations from Banakedi Marketing, Woodway UK, UK Packaging Supplies and the team at Brackley, Storopack managed to raise over £600.
