Having been acquired by MiTek Inc in 2017, MiTek Mezzanine Systems Ltd has completed the final administrative step in its transition into the global MiTek group. With effect from 4 July, the company has been formally merged with MiTek Inc’s UK operation, MiTek Industries Ltd. Known simply as MiTek, this organisation has traditionally focused on the homebuilding solutions from MiTek Inc’s portfolio.

BIL Group – the UK’s leading manufacturer of castors and wheels – has undergone a management buy-out backed by PHD Industrial Holdings Limited. The deal gives day to day control of the business to existing directors Tim Murrow, Chris Davies and Roland Mellor, and will also provide significant investment to enable the company to pursue its ambitious growth plans.

Nulogy’s flexible cloud-based software has been chosen by leading contract packer Glowcroft as the platform to enhance the business’s agility and responsiveness to its fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) customers, according to our packaging feature. Replacing a previous combination of customised ERP and homegrown and manual systems, Nulogy’s software will allow Glowcroft to manage its production flow and materials more efficiently and perform all necessary quality checks in a faster, more accurate manner.

There are a number of advantages to choosing plastic over wood when it comes to picking a pallet at any point in time, in the context of the timber supply chain problems, the pros are even stronger.
