Specialists in the provision of modular loading bay equipment, Doncaster based Transdek UK have announced the appointment of a new Business Development Manager. James MacDonald joins the company in the role, bringing with him a wealth of experience in both the loading bay and logistics markets.

Before joining Transdek, James, who has an MBA in Business, spent over 10 years providing loading bay solutions to large multi-national organisations and numerous businesses within the logistics sector, working on projects ranging from a single dock leveller loading bay up to multi-bay dock and door loading packages for multiple RDC’s. James has also gained considerable experience in the delivery of both new build and replacement scissor lift installations, working with national supermarket chains throughout the country. An in-depth knowledge of BS EN 1570 and close, regular contact with all key stakeholders has enabled James to consistently deliver projects as specified, on time and to budget.

Prior to working in the logistics industry James ran his own electrical contracting business managing a broad range of commercial, industrial, and domestic projects. He has also spent time travelling the world as an electrical engineer in the pharmaceutical sector.

His role at Transdek will see him concentrate on introducing the company’s specialist modular loading solutions to a new customer base both in the UK and Europe, whilst working with existing customers to develop opportunities and build stronger relationships.

James will report to Transdek MD Leon Butler, who says “We are delighted to welcome James to the company. We continue to see increasing demand for our innovative range of loading bay equipment so the addition of James in this new role will enable us to maximise this opportunity and provide additional support to our existing customers. His considerable experience in the field, client development and project management skills, strengthens what is already a customer focused team.”
