Every day our team of battery engineers is travelling the country fitting and inspecting traction batteries in order to keep UK logistics moving. We’re delighted to announce that as part of our continuous drive to be a more sustainable business, these site visits will now be doing away with physical paperwork and allowing for job sheets to be created – and signed-off by our customers – digitally.

Using our bespoke mobile app, engineers can list the works done at each site visit – such as inspections, voltage checks on cells etc – take relevant photographs then talk all this through with our customers before both parties sign off the itemised job sheets. It’s a process that leads to more streamlined record-keeping for both our battery engineers and our customers.

“Our business has a strong focus on sustainability,” explains Amit Ghosal, Chief Executive of Espex Batteries Ltd, “for example we recycle customers’ traction batteries once they reach the end of their natural life, ensuring materials are not wasted or worse – end up in landfill.

“So this step toward digitisation of our site team’s job sheets is a natural progression, and it also makes for a more clear process overall, with easier record-keeping and accountability.”

Don’t forget: if you want to find out more about how our battery engineers can work with your site teams, come and visit us IMHX at the Birmingham NEC this 6th – 8th September, stand 5F61, where we’ll be showing off our ORC range of rapid/opportunity recharge traction batteries.
