Constructed from an unrivalled 62mm heavy duty steel, the Hörmann range of STS/STU doors set the standard for both a long life and maintenance free operation. The range of doors are available in either flush or thick rebated versions, with the flush and fully bonded composite construction resulting in increased leaf rigidity, so that the door closes with a strong, rich sound.
Hörmann steel doors can be configured as either single or double-leaf versions, with the option of a fixed or removable top panel which is available in a choice of solid panels, ventilation grilles or transom lights. The maximum door width achievable for a single door is 1400mm, increasing to 2700mm for a double door and the maximum height being 3000mm, increasing to 3350mm with a top panel.
To help keep noise pollution to a minimum, an acoustic infill provides sound insulation of up to 61db helping to reduce noise pollution both internally and from the outside. Whilst security is ensured with high specification locking systems fitted as standard, with break-in resistant doors also being available rated up to RC3. For additional safety, fire rated doors can be optionally supplied with a fire rating of up to 90 minutes and being smoke tight up to 200°C.
The doors are fitted with stainless steel hinges and with FSB architectural handle sets, assuring a quality finish, with an extensive range of colours and finishes available which provide the option to colour match brand colours or building interiors and exteriors.
Door leaves and frames can be supplied in a galvanized steel finish, with a choice of three stainless steel finishes or an array of RAL and BS colours. Further customisation is offered from a range of standard and special glazing options, providing both appealing aesthetics and functional solutions.
Automatic hinged doors allow the creation of barrier-free passages in high traffic areas, with a comprehensive range of operators being available to suit operational requirements. Doors can be conveniently operated by button, radar, and movement detector, or with the Hörmann BiSecur radio technology allowing secure operation from a hand transmitter. Steel hinged doors can also be fitted with a barrier-free overhead door closer which allows door opening and closing with little effort.
