Dr.-Ing. Andreas Werner, 39, has been appointed “Chief Technology Officer” (CTO) as well as “Head of Technology Center (TC)” at Swisslog. Werner, who holds a degree in electrical engineering and a PhD in mechanical engineering and computer science, is based at the Dortmund site, Swisslog’s center of excellence for robotics and new technologies. He strengthens the management team in one of the world’s leading companies in automated intralogistics technologies, which is focusing primarily on the further expansion of data-driven solutions. “I’m looking forward to my new role at Swisslog,” says Werner, who plans to make a significant contribution to the Swiss group’s growth success by leveraging his background in intralogistics, mobile robotics, software and digitalization: “Working together with my powerful team is the greatest incentive for me.”
