Tosca, a global leader in reusable packaging solutions and pooling, has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal for its sustainability initiatives in the EU. This award places Tosca in the top 5% of businesses rated by EcoVadis. Tosca reached an overall score of 72 out of 100 in this assessment, placing the company in the 97th percentile of all applicants.

GS Yuasa Battery Sales UK Ltd (GYSUK) has announced that construction has begun on a new headquarters and distribution centre. Work commenced on the 178,500 sq ft purpose-built facility, situated in Dorcan, Swindon, at a commemorative ground-breaking ceremony. Following sustained growth over the past decade, GS Yuasa has outgrown the sites it currently operates from in the Swindon area.

Total supply chain solution provider Oakland International has been confirmed as one of the Midlands 100 fastest growing companies. Insider’s Growth 100 index ranks 100 of the fastest-growing companies who have a registered office in the region and amongst several other factors have increased turnover by more than 18 per cent annually over a four-year period and focusing on companies demonstrating growth in the last year and with over £1m turnover in the first year.

EHLIS, a leading company in Spain in the distribution of hardware products, has expanded its logistics capacity with the opening of its new clad-rack warehouse equipped by the industrial storage solutions specialist AR Racking, according to our storage solutions feature. The logistics centre in this locality is based on the design and installation of AR Racking’s galvanised clad-rack warehouse solutions, which apart from storing the load makes up the structure of the building. With this clad-rack warehouse which occupies 3,125 m2, EHLIS can store around 30,000 pallets distributed on a combination of both single and double deep racking systems.
