To support and promote the tireless work of SEMA and our members we have now launched our new website which you can visit at www.sema.org.uk.

As the professional body for the storage industry, communication is at the heart of getting the SEMA message across. Through the new website, warehouse owners, managers and operatives can now find a useful resource hub when navigating the storage equipment process. This includes guidance on what to consider when setting up a warehouse, ensuring you meet your legal obligations and addressing issues affecting our industry. It will also look at what steps you need to take when maintaining your racking system by ensuring SEIRS trained installers are deployed, and how to find a SEMA Approved Rack Inspector when requiring an inspection of your storage equipment.

Searching for a manufacturer, distributor or installer of your racking system is now even easier through the new ‘Find a Racking Supplier’ tool. Customers can either search the interactive map to find their closest member or filter to find the relevant service for their requirements.

The new website coincides with the upcoming changes to SEIRS training which will launch with the new SEIRS Diploma course in January 2022. Racking Installers looking to become SEIRS registered or existing installers who want to renew their in-date card can find plenty of information on the changes and benefits of the course.

SEMA offers a range of courses covering both installation as well as regular Rack Awareness courses specifically with the end user in mind and SEMA Approved Rack Inspector qualifications. The new website will soon feature an online training tool that makes booking onto one of our SEMA courses even easier.

With the recent and sudden growth for additional warehousing in the last couple of years we know that meeting the goal of safe storage is more important than ever. For over 50 years, SEMA has led on safe storage practice.

Today our SEMA member businesses include SEMA manufacturers, SEMA Distributor Group members and SEMA Approved Installation Companies. Together with committees, industry initiatives and training our members combine their knowledge, skill and expertise to promote safe storage. Our new website is a perfect opportunity for SEMA and member companies to demonstrate their expertise working in the warehouse industry.
