Grant Handling, a leading material handling specialist, has seen a major investment in its UK operation aimed at taking its high-quality local service to a national audience. The changes, that have resulted in enhancements across all areas of Grant’s operation, have taken place over the last twelve months and bring exciting new benefits to its growing customer base.

Steve Shakespeare, COO at the Impact Group, Grant Handling’s parent company, says: “Grant has a good reputation amongst its existing customers, but as the business expands it is essential we put the building blocks in place to not only further elevate our service standards but also to enable us to deliver that same quality of local service to a wider customer base.”

2021 sees Grant Handling celebrate its 20th year as the sole UK importer and distributor of the Heli brand of forklift truck and warehouse equipment. Heli’s extensive range offers quality marketleading solutions across all product categories and includes Tier 5 diesel and Lithium-ion technology, all aimed at delivering maximum value.

The latest developments have seen Grant’s inventory of built-for-stock machines increase significantly, giving customers access to a wider range of machines which are all held in the UK and available at short notice. Grant has additionally expanded its geographical coverage, with the business opening new hub operations to support customers based across the Midlands and Yorkshire.

Mr Shakespeare continues: “Although this has been long planned, the investment came at exactly the right time and has enabled us to build a strong offering to the marketplace – just when it is wanted most. For customers that means improved availability of equipment, more local depots and faster response times, and all at our usual competitive pricing.”

Grant’s short term rental fleet has enjoyed particular attention, with all key product ranges now available for immediate dispatch across the entire UK. The new fleet is intended to further support customers’ ability to scale to fluctuations and surges in demand, as well as meeting the current needs of businesses who are not yet ready to commit to a more traditional long-term deal.

Grant are keen to use the newly extended short term rental fleet to demonstrate to prospective customers that the benefits of choosing Heli products extend well beyond its attractive hire rates.

The service engineering team at Grant has seen expansion too, with the company continuing to deliver its manufacturer-approved training programmes as well as ensuring its engineers maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Grant’s team will also benefit from a brand-new fleet of specially equipped service vans, the first thirty of which will arrive throughout the first half of 2021.
