The Fork Lift Truck Association has recently reinforced its Board with the addition of new member Adam Hughes, Managing Director of Spartan Forklifts.

“I was extremely proud to be invited to join the FLTA Board, especially as you have to be recommended and seconded by your peers,” says Adam Hughes. “It’s nice to know people have a good opinion of you.” Having entered the materials handling industry as a salesman, before becoming a depot manager, Adam made the decision to step out on his own and set up Spartan Forklifts in 2009.

“We became FLTA members straight away,” explains Adam. “I always thought that being a member of the FLTA is really important because it’s about keeping standards high and not letting them slip. It’s not just a sticker you put on things to say you’re a member. It’s a commitment to providing good services. Whether a customer has 1 truck or 100, they all receive the same high level of service.”
