Wessex Packaging has launched a major campaign for it’s PowerWrap® nano stretch film pallet wrap.

Focused on helping warehouse and logistics teams to reduce the amount of pallet wrap plastic they use, the campaign explains how PowerWrap® can help them hit some of their KPIs for cost reduction, sustainability and efficiency.

As pallet wrap and load stability experts, Wessex Packaging works with operations teams across the UK, and their pallet wrap audit programme has helped many businesses save time, cut plastic waste and reduce packaging costs.

Recent audit results at a major drinks logistics company demonstrated a 67% saving on the amount of film used per pallet, reducing the amount of plastic wrap by 361g, whilst still maintaining an excellent hold force to ensure load stability was not compromised.

In the video Wessex Packaging shows how PowerWrap® is the latest technology nano stretch film that uses the same principle as plywood or bulletproof glass, by being made up of multiple layers of polymers. These polymer layers are selected, blended and extruded to create a technologically advanced pallet wrap product, that is far stronger than conventional pallet stretch films.

Using the video as part of a multi-channel campaign, Wessex Packaging is showcasing PowerWrap® in Warehouse and Logistic News, online and direct mail activity.

For warehouse managers, operations managers, or those running a logistics or supply chain distribution centre, Wessex Packaging is setting the challenge to deliver more for less.

There are many misconceptions about wrapping pallets which can mask process improvements, including:

– Thicker pallet wrap film isn’t always stronger.

– Wrapping pallets more times isn’t always safer.

– The cheapest pallet film roll price isn’t always the lowest cost.

– Pallet wrapping machinery isn’t always a big capital outlay.

Wessex Packaging is using the new PowerWrap® campaign to help operations and logistics teams make their pallet wrapping more efficient and sustainable.

Often, they find pallet wrapping machines in warehouses that are ageing, damaged or outdated, causing a wasteful wrapping process. And the challenge to these operations teams is to see if they know the real cost of wrapping pallets.
