Storopack recently announced they have joined CEFLEX, a new European organization committed to improving the circular economy of flexible protective packaging.

The new organization comprises of 130 member companies and brings together companies that represent the entire value chain for flexible packaging. Working together, these companies aim to overcome the complex technical and economic challenges that inhibit a functional circular economy. CEFLEX members are dedicated to developing a sustainable collection, sorting, and recycling infrastructure for flexible post-consumer packaging throughout Europe.

“As flexible packaging is an important part of our modern world, we will work alongside CEFLEX members to jointly develop solutions to improve the circular economy of our flexible protective packaging.”

“In recent years we have significantly expanded our range of protective packaging made from recycled raw materials. We plan to increase the percentage of these products considerably in the years to come, which will make a functional recycling loop all the more important, “ said Richard Pulfrey, Managing Director.

CEFLEX is the fourth collaborative initiative Storopack have joined since 2018 including, Alliance to End Plastic Waste, Big Blue Ocean Cleanup, and Operation Clean Sweep. These initiatives fit perfectly with Storopack and its commitment to improving sustainability, and a circular economy for its flexible protective packaging.
