What’s the most exciting thing about your job?

Every day is different and presents new challenges and opportunities. Recently we have recruited new territory sales people which is exciting times for the growth of the business.

Who has inspired you most in your career?

I have met some very inspirational people who have mentored me in my varied career so would find it difficult to name just one.

If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?

I would have to say the doors (corny I know).

They are an integral part of the operation as without them the business doesn’t function. Looked after they will be there day in day out working efficiently and effectively for the good of the business.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?

I wouldn’t do anything differently as every twist and turn in life has taught me some valuable lessons.

What’s your favourite pastime?

Well as a busy mum of 2 I don’t get much chance for pastimes but I do enjoy catching up with friends and family when I can.

Do you play a sport, follow a sport or support a team?

People who know me may be shocked to hear that I am an avid snooker fan. I like the competitiveness and the way the players have to be mentally tough to compete at the top level.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened in your career?

Not that I can remember but I’m sure someone somewhere will think differently.

Do you have any hidden talents?

If I do they are very well hidden, I have been told by my children that I am terrible at impressions and accents.

Who would be your favourite party guest?

Probably Stephen Fry or Bez from the Happy Mondays, nice mixture of interesting stories they could both tell.

What is the greatest luxury in your life?

Being able to provide a good life for me and my 2 boys.

If you won the lottery, what would you do?

Well I suppose it would depend on how much was won but I am not the kind of person to give up work and skip the country. I am passionate about my work and would want to continue, that said I would probably buy somewhere we can escape to in the summer.

Who or what makes you laugh?

My 14 and 12 year old boys are a constant source of amusement and they always manage to make me smile.

Whats your dream holiday?

I would love to go to Japan. I find their culture fascinating.

Whats your favourite music album?

This is the hardest one to answer. I started my early working life in record shops so was surrounded by different genres of music. I come from a musical family so love all different artists from Fleetwood Mac, George Michael and Stone Roses.

What is your favourite Movie or Netflix Series?

I am a sucker for a musical so would have to say “Sound of Music” or “My Fair Lady”.

What would your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry?

Go for it! If you’re up for the challenge of meeting a diverse set of people and learning new skills along the way it’s a great business to be in. It is quite a male dominated business so more women need to be represented.
