In response to the current COVID-19 crisis, they have demonstrated design innovation once again by creating Mist-Safe, a sanitiser unit that can fit over a gravity roller conveyor, which uses mist disinfectant to make cardboard boxes, cartons, equipment and a vast range of products safe to handle, store and distribute.
Coveya is committed to playing its part in supporting its customers and others through this period and following the successful launch of COV-Screen, a freestanding or countertop protection screen product which has proven to be very successful, the team have taken this commitment one stage further by designing and manufacturing Mist-Safe.
Mist-Safe can sanitise up to 4000 boxes per day using four mist spray nozzles and a sensor which ensures that mist is only released if a carton is passing through the housing unit. The mist is controlled without the need for any intervention and bacteria continues to be kept at bay long after its left the tunnel.
It has been designed for UK based online retailers, distributor and logistics companies that not only wants to disinfect what they need to before its sent out or stored, but which also wants to sanitise products that are returned before they are resold. It is also a cost-effective way of reassuring customers that their safety is paramount and that any products that can be sanitised are being protected before dispatch.
Mist-Safe has a range of core features which include; easy operation with push-button controls and a ‘plug and play’ design that can be installed quickly and efficiently; a spray unit that does not saturate or damage cartons as it passes through the unit and which continues to kill viruses and bacteria once applied. It has a sensor at one end of the tunnel that recognises when a product is entering the conveyor, shutting down after 10 seconds.
