The Forklift Training Engineering Centre (F-TEC), the dedicated training facility, will be exhibiting at IMHX between 24-27 September 2019. Not only that, but they will launch their new service, Pro-TEC. Pro-TEC, the professional register of forklift truck (FLT) technicians, is the first of its kind and will be recognisable within the industry as a definable skills standard.

“We’re excited to be launching Pro-TEC. Pro-TEC has been created specifically for engineers and technicians working within the forklift truck industry. Pro-TEC will deliver a nationally approved set of standards for forklift technicians that provides consistency across the industry, allowing employers to recruit with confidence and optimise staff development.” said Karl Baum, managing director, F-TEC.

Karl Baum has also been invited to speak within the Skills Zone on Wednesday 25 September, 10.45 am – 11:30 am. Here, he will present on how F-TEC is ‘Shaking Up the Forklift Sector’.

As well as the exciting new launch, F-TEC, its team and its apprentices will be on stand TL16 to talk about their services, training and courses, which includes:

Advanced Courses -Accredited courses at Level 4 or above, designed to expand engineer’s knowledge and increase diagnostic ability to maximise efficiency.

Apprenticeship Training -F-TEC deliver high quality training programmes at level 2 & 3 to produce competent engineers. They pride themselves on a 94% pass rate. The industry standard is 67%. Bespoke Training – F-TEC create tailor made programmes to meet specific needs.

Service Engineer Development – With over 20 short courses from Introduction to Electrics to Thorough Inspection, F-TEC provide courses to help engineers to upskill.
