With ice and snow likely to settle over the next couple of months, one forklift attachment company is helping customers keep their businesses running smoothly.
Based in Newtown in Mid Wales, Contact Attachments is working with customers across the UK to ensure they are fit to operate effectively throughout the winter months by providing its range of forklift compatible and pedestrianoperated salt spreaders and gritters.
The 190kg capacity Forklift Towable Salt Spreader tows behind vehicles with a standard ball hitch or towing pins, helping companies with warehouses, large sites and depots to keep it safe for staff and free from potentially hazardous ice and snow.
Its 50kg capacity pedestrianoperated salt spreader can also be used by just one person and is ideal for smaller applications including carparks, driveways, walkways and access areas. A versatile gritting machine, the pedestrian salt spreader can also be used all-yearround with grass and seed spreading.
Dave Manuel, Technical Sales Director at Contact Attachments, said: “Every year many organisations struggle to remain operational and safe when the temperature has dropped and there is snow and ice on the ground.
Without the necessary equipment in place, organisations can often find themselves at a standstill and having to halt production, potentially impacting on their earnings over the winter period.
