Dock Solutions, the UK manufacturer of loading bay equipment, has recently completed work for a large high street cosmetic company. The newly installed loading platform will contribute to the company’s on-going UK distribution expansion.
Installing a loading bay solution into an area of which there hasn’t been any previously can become very costly. It often requires extensive civil engineering works to take place to accept the loading bay equipment. However, Dock Solutions have managed to solve these problems through a combined strength of inhouse design and manufacturing.
Specifically designed to improve the efficiencies of the loading and unloading process, the newly designed loading bay platform is aimed to produce a cost-effect solution to a capacity shortage of the loading facilities. The 6-tonne rated hinge lip dock leveller offers a safe operational range of 312mm above and 300mm below dock operation. The whole platform has been made secure with a kickplate border complete with 1,100mm high yellow painted hand rails. 750mm long rubber dock bumpers have been installed 250mm above the dock height to allow maximum protection from trailers as they park up to the loading bay.
The project forms the second stage of a similar solution previously installed by Dock Solutions.
