There’s a new pallet box on the market that is saving businesses a lot of money. Cheaper and lighter than wooden crates “Our Pallite® Box customers have come from two main camps.” comments David Rose, sales director for Pallite®. “Some were needing to use wooden crates because they needed something strong and robust to protect their load. The crates worked well, they did their job but they were expensive and slow to build. For others, the sheer weight of the wood in airfreight was eroding into their profit margins”.

Stronger and more reusable than a cardboard box “The other camp came from customers who were using cardboard pallet boxes” continued Rose. “Again, for many circumstances, these do a perfect job. They’re relatively cheap and the box itself is light, so doesn’t add needless weight to the load.
But others were finding that sometimes damages were occurring during transit. The cardboard box wasn’t deep enough to withstand blows from external sources.”
The thick wall doesn’t just protect the sides of the box. The team at Pallite® have designed a lid that can cope with weights of up to 750kg on top of the box too. “Imagine the cost savings with transport if you could cut the number of journeys you’re making by 50% because you can now double stack your loads” suggested Rose.
Incredibly easy to store and build The clever collapsible design means users don’t need a lot of space to store the pallet boxes when not in use. “There aren’t many other pallet boxes you can build from a collapsed height of 330mm all the way up to 1.2m in 10 seconds AND then double stack up to 750kg on top of it”.
