WLN – When was your business established? Who owns the company now? Which other countries do you operate in besides the UK?

• 1985 – Foundation of Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan, South Korea

• 1995 – Opening of European Hyundai Heavy Industries head office in Europe

• Hyundai Heavy Industries is a global player with subsidiaries all over the world and is stock market listed.

WLN – What sets your company apart as a supplier in your sector? Why should busy professionals from the warehouse and logistics industry take time out to visit your stand at IMHX? What is your overall message to visitors?

Though HHIE is a global player, we are still a challenger on the UK forklift market. This implies that we try harder and try to cater to the needs of our (potential) customers – ranging from the SME with one or two forklifts to the big international accounts with a whole fleet of forklifts.

WLN – What will visitors be able to see on your stand at this year’s show? Which of your core products and solutions are you presenting? Are you launching anything new at IMHX?

The machine list at IMHX includes:

WLN – Is this your first time exhibiting at IMHX? If you’ve been there before, what are you doing that’s different to last time?

Our Hyundai booth will again demonstrate its usual quality and welcoming atmosphere. In the demo area, our 15BT-9 battery truck will defend our colours.

WLN – The last IMHX was in 2013. How have your customers’ needs changed since then? What are the biggest pressures your clients face these days? How are you addressing these?

Customers nowadays want even more peace of mind when purchasing new machines. For some forklift machines we therefore extended our warranty so that besides the usual two years/ 3000 hours full warranty, we now offer also an extended powertrain warranty (three years/6000 hours from factory)

WLN – How do your products and solutions address today’s increased emphasis on safety and environmental impact in warehousing and logistics? Will you be highlighting this aspect of your offering at the show?

The new warehouse equipment range (12 machines in total) comprise the following features:

• Speed limiter as of predefined heights

• Some models have curve control systems

• Renowned western components

15BTR-9

WLN – Thanks to technology, suppliers to this industry are getting much faster with their responses to customer enquiries. How soon after IMHX can visitors to your stand expect to receive a ‘live’ quote for using your solutions in their businesses?

Our UK and Ireland dealers will be present during IMHX ensuring a smooth follow-up. If the dossier is complete, we expect a quick turn around time.

WLN – And finally, it’s three years to the next IMHX. Where do you see your market sector and your company going in that time?

We expect to double our sales in the UK within the next three years.
