“Location and strategic access to transport links will always remain the primary concern for logistics customers. In line with the growth of e-commerce, we’re seeing increased demand for large scale warehouse space that allows easy access to the UK and abroad. Goodman takes a long-term approach to its developments. All our sites are strategically located and offer exceptional access to motorway interchanges, ports and/or airports.

As an example, Goodman and Shepherd Group have entered into a partnership to develop a new Strategic Rail Freight Interchange incorporating approximately six million sq ft of manufacturing and distribution space in Derbyshire. This development, East Midlands Intermodal Park (EMIP), will ease the strain on the region’s current transport infrastructure. Shifting cargo from roads to rail will reduce traffic congestion and carbon emissions and allow local and national organisations to strengthen their logistics networks.”
