ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems unveiled their newest overhead sectional door, the Crawford OH1042, on Wednesday 14th of May at the ASSA ABLOY Training Centre, Rotherham.
In a presentation to selected press partners and all colleagues working within Great Britain and Ireland, Industrial Door and Docking Solutions Global Marketing Manager Lotta Sjoberg formally introduced the new addition to the Crawford product range, describing the model as ”the next generation of overhead sectional door. A more robust, attractive and flexible door system which is the latest upgrade in the Crawford range of industrial doors”.
Following on from a technical presentation made by the product manager, Danish Research and Development Engineer Kaj Sondergaard, two examples of the door, which has been developed by Crawford specialists over a two year period, were unveiled. Offering numerous unique features, including a brand new panel design and enhancements to the configuration of vision panels and windows, the Crawford OH1042 features an innovative broken cold bridge for even better insulation. Explaining the advantages, which address common problems such as de-lamination and condensation accumulation, Mr Sondergaard explained the development process. “It’s designed to look better and perform longer through a combination of better load distribution, wind-resistant reinforced panels and a class 3 certification for water tightness, wind load and air permeability”. Testing in the Netherlands has also revealed that the steel panel variety has achieved a very impressive thermal transmittance for a 42mm panel, offering 1.1 W/(m2K) when tested to EN 12428 on a fully installed door.
Before the guests were invited to inspect the newly installed examples, Mr Sondergaard summarized, “Crawford OH1042 offers greater energy savings and helps keep businesses moving, for all duties and in all weathers. It’s the perfect fit for warehouses, logistics centers, emergency response stations and all kinds of business premises”.
