Rotherham-based logistics specialist The Green Group has left UK Pallets to join the Pall-Ex network. The company will take control of coverage for part of the S and part of the DN postcode areas.

Commenting on the announcement, Steven Reed, Pall-Ex’s network development director, said:

“The Green Group is a leading name in UK haulage and we are more than happy to welcome them to the network.

“Pall-Ex has built its reputation on offering reliable, efficient services that produce tangible benefits for customers. This is an ethos that The Green Group shares.

“As Pall-Ex continues to expand across Europe, with the success of Pall-Ex France testament to the viability of our model, more and more hauliers are seeing that joining forces with us is the perfect way to grow their own business.”

With over 25-years experience in the logistics sector, The Green Group is a member of the Freight Transport Association. The company also offers warehousing facilities, construction and civil engineering work, and has a number of other business interests in the commercial property market.

As Mark Steventon, depot principal at The Green Group, explains, moving to Pall-Ex was a natural choice:

“Pall-Ex is considered to be the leading brand in the European palletised freight sector and is well known for its service levels. As a company, it very much matches all of the values that we emphasise here at The Green Group.

“The TWINE IT system was particularly appealing to us and it offers us all of the support we need to ensure that our customers receive the best service possible.”
