Health & Safety Laboratory (HSL) senior engineer Nina Day will report on recently published research relevant to fork lift truck operations. As well as discussing driver safety and impact testing to side and rear, she’ll share details of a current project looking into the benefits of reversing aids.
In her role as a senior engineer at HSL, Nina Day has accumulated many years of practical experience in making work and road transport safer, and she is now recognised throughout the transport industry as a national expert on load safety.
Nina recently published two books on Transport Safety that provide straightforward advice on safe loading and transport, including the best methods of securing different load types through to explaining the legal responsibilities of drivers, operators and consignors.
Nina works with haulage companies to advise them on fleet investment decisions and also with the police as an adviser when accidents happen as a result of unsecured loads.
