A leading materials handling and forklift attachment firm is helping its customers ensure the fast and efficient disposal of onsite waste.

Forklift-Mounted-Skip

Mid Wales-based Contact Attachments has designed and manufactured a diverse range of forklift tipping skips, an ideal solution for customers to ensure working areas are kept clear, and allowing safe and speedy removal of scrap or rubbish.

The firm, which has been designing and manufacturing forklift attachments from its base in Newtown for more than 30 years, develops all its skips from either regular or heavy duty steel, which ensures a longer service life. The skips are also fitted with bolted on castors to eliminate the need for welding should they need replacing, and security chains for ensuring the lift is securely fastened to the truck.

Jason Cadman, Technical Sales Consultant at Contact Attachments, said: “All the skips we manufacture are CE marked, and are fully tested and certified in our factory to ISO 9001 quality procedures. We are proud to be the favoured provider to blue chip companies such as Coca Cola, Rolls Royce, and Thames Water.

“As a firm, we are committed to the safety of our customers, which is why we have designed a skip that ensures tasks can be carried out automatically, rather than manually. The auto release skip, for example, includes a nudge bar which enables the driver to empty the contents of the skip without leaving the cab, ensuring the safety of the employee, as well as speeding up the waste disposal process.”

The firm also produces skips with lids, raised mesh sides, as well as skips that are galvanised or made from stainless steel, to ensure any form of waste stream can be disposed of in the most appropriate and effective way.

Contact Attachments has been designing and manufacturing forklift truck attachments from its base in Newtown, Mid Wales, for over 30 years and is recognised as the quality leader of truck attachments in the UK.
