When a leading manufacturer of air movement products was looking to upgrade to a more energy efficient and state-of-the-art heating system in its UK production plant, they found the perfect solution in Nor-Ray-Vac continuous radiant tube heating from AmbiRad.
From their 4500m2 production facility in Swindon, Torin-Sifan supplies 1.5 million products annually to the International Air Movement Industry. In designing a replacement heating system for the facility, specialist contractor ABS Heating worked with AmbiRad on a solution which was both highly efficient and offered low running costs.
With the manufacturing plant being heated by Nor-Ray-Vac, this continuous gas fired radiant tube system from AmbiRad was once again up for the challenge of heating an industrial building economically. This energy efficient and rapid response heating system does not heat the air and so the primary heat source is not lost when doors are opened.
For the production facility, specialist contractor ABS Heating installed 26 x 24LR burners and 7 x 18LR burners at a height of 5 metres. These continuous radiant tube heaters were arranged in 9 zones along with 9 discharge fans while a further 4 Vision VS15 radiant heat tubes were installed in two zones.
These efficient systems comply with the requirements of the European Gas Appliance directive (EN 777), have reduced running costs and qualify for inclusion on the government’s energy technology listing.
AmbiRad’s Nor-Ray-Vac heating system is the cost and energy efficient method of heating many manufacturing plants and ensures a more comfortable and healthier environment for manufacturing staff.
