A major UK retail giant has chosen inotec UK as the preferred supplier for health and safety and marshalling linemarking in their European expansion.
The 11,000 square meter Distribution Centre, 25km north of Prague is the latest distribution hub, built to support the business growth in the region and providing the necessary supply chain improvements into the capital, Prague.
The floor linemarking plan will guide operations for the 200 employees, providing precise, durable and easy to clean markings that will remain highly visible under heavy traffic conditions for many years. The method chosen was DURALINE RAPIDSHIELD from inotec.
An international 10 member team, headed by Richard Fitzsimmons from inotec UK and Vit Janecek from inotec Czech, have applied over 20,000 metres of lines within six weeks – ahead of program – utilising the latest Ultra Violet (UV) Cure linemarking technology.
Richard Fitzsimmons – Contracts Manager for inotec UK said,’ For this application the immediate cure by UV light and long term durability of the linemarking system was crucial. With ambient temperatures as low as 1 degree C at application, the Rapid Shield UV coating provided the perfect solution. We were able to complete the contract within a restricted time frame and hand areas back for use immediately on completion.’
The hard curing UV coatings are able to withstand the harsh conditions of the fast moving goods-in goods-out processes for up to 5 years. Food Safe colour coats and VOC free Top coats are applied to the specially prepared floor slab – ensuring a strong and perfect bond to the floor. The RAPIDSHIELD clear top coat adds unrivalled durability and protection – offering a smooth hard surface that is resistant to chemicals, abrasion and easy to clean and maintain. Using the latest in Ultra-Violet lamp technology, the surface is instantly cured and can be handed back to the Warehouse immediately causing minimal disruption to operations. A decisive advantage compared to conventionally known lengthy curing processes.
