A leading logistics and warehouse management software developer will unveil its latest product at IMHX 2013. Indigo Software will be launching ‘Indigo WMS for IBMi’ at the exhibition to be held at Birmingham NEC between 19 – 22 March.

WarehouseIndigo began developing its WMS portfolio of applications some 20 years ago, with its signature product ‘RealTime for System21’. This enabled IBMi (aka iSeries and AS/400) based System 21 ERP software users to utilise the latest barcode and wireless technologies, removing the manual processes associated with inventory and warehousing operations.

Now, Indigo Software will launch ‘Indigo WMS for IBMi’, offering its RealTime software solution enhanced for other users of IBMi ERP software such as, BPICS, Maapics, Movex/M3 and SAP as well as in house developed systems.

Covering the movement of goods in and out of a warehouse, Indigo WMS for IBMi is an automated warehouse management system operated using hand-held radio frequency terminals, allowing automated data capture to ensure information is guaranteed to be accurate and true.

Highly developed in picking strategies, embedded voice technologies, multi-phase instructions, inbound planning, SSCC capability and business intelligence, Indigo WMS for IBMi suits single or multi-site operations and provides a realtime solution with exceptional control, visibility and function.

Commenting on the launch, Peter McLane, Managing Director said: “We’re thrilled to be able to open up our RealTime software to other users of ERP with Indigo WMS for IBMi.  Our current customers such as Regatta, Dairy Crest, Puma and Glen Dimplex will tell you what a marked difference RealTime has made to their business productivity and efficiency.  This customer feedback was instrumental to our strategy of enhancing our WMS technologies to make it available to all businesses running their applications on IBMi.”

Indigo Software has developed Indigo WMS for IBMi to overcome logistics issues that affect all aspects of warehouse management including poor inventory accuracy, failure to record information in real time and operator error.

Peter McLane continued: “As a company, Indigo Software has over 400 man years of collective experience in IBMi-based supply chain solutions. We understand the IBMi architecture better than anyone and therefore we can produce a WMS that we’re immensely proud of and which fits perfectly into a customer’s environment.”

Established for over 33 years, the County Durham-based company now provides warehousing solutions all over the globe including numerous blue-chip companies such as Puma, Regatta, Greene King, NGK Spark Plugs, Jacuzzi, Glen Dimplex, Dairy Crest and Agrokor.
