N020-newNew Cat® low level order pickers make their UK debut at this year’s IMHX show, as Impact Handling displays a selection from the extensive range of Cat® equipment on stand 19K130.

The new 1.0 to 2.0 tonne NO10-20NE range has been designed to provide the very highest standards of productivity and operator comfort, with a wide range of features to keep drivers safe and focused on the task at hand.

A class leading 540mm deep operator compartment combined with a low step height and wide entry/exit points makes it quick and easy to mount/dismount, speeding up picking cycles. Smooth, continuous power and precise drive controls provide excellent acceleration and manoeuvrability ensuring operators can move swiftly and safely from location to location. Automotive style steering adds to the ease of use while LED lighting not only ensures that operators can see and be seen but also act as turn signals to make drivers’ intentions clear.

The models with rising forks allow the load carrier to be raised 800mm, minimising unnecessary bending and stretching. Scissor lift models also come with 2,400mm long forks so either two Europallets or three roll containers can be carried at once, allowing picking routes to be extended, reducing total travel time.

A rising operator platform on the NO20NEP/EXP and NO10EFP models allows picking heights of up to 2,500mm. Steering mounted controls enable both the forks and operator to be raised while driving, saving precious seconds. A foot-operated button also saves time by allowing operators to lower the platform even with their hands full.

Rounded fork tips and tandem load wheels encourage smooth pallet entry from any angle, further helping to speed up handling cycles, while the trucks’ onboard presence detection system uses the entire floor mat, cutting the time taken to detect operators and actually start work.

The many optional extras include walk-by-side drive and fork lift controls that do away with the need for operators to remount between picks where only short distances need covering. A load tray is another extra, offering temporary storage of picked goods when the platform is in the raised position.

As well as exclusive distribution of Cat® Lift Trucks, counterbalance and warehouse equipment in the UK, Impact Handling also offers a whole range of other world-class branded materials handling equipment including Kalmar Heavy Duty Lift Trucks, Combilift Multi-way and Lancer Sideloaders, Flexi Articulated Trucks, JLG Access Equipment and a stainless steel range from Ulma Inoxtruck specifically designed for the food and pharmaceutical industries. With automated guided vehicles from Rocla, the Pallet Mole storage system and retrieval solutions from Storage Management Systems also supplied by Impact Handling, the company is a genuine “one stop shop” for its customers. This puts Impact Handling in the perfect position to offer unbiased advice and to analyse the equipment required to suit individual needs.
