Pall-Ex, the European freight distribution network is pleased to be joining the CBI Leadership Programme.
Project director Anand Assi, who is currently overseeing the European expansion of the Pall-Ex network, has been invited to become a participant in the scheme. After being nominated by his peers at Pall-Ex, Anand was chosen by the CBI selection panel as a high calibre advocate for the UK business community.
The CBI is the UK’s top business lobbying organisation. Its leadership programme has been launched with the aim of strengthening ties between business and government.
Anand commented on his selection,
“I am delighted and honoured to be representing not only Pall-Ex, but UK business as a whole. The UK economy is at its strongest when government and business work hand-in-hand to create the conditions for stability and growth.
“I am looking forward to working with the CBI, discovering how they operate and seeing what practices can be taken back to Pall-Ex and applied to a supply chain setting.”
Anand has enjoyed success overseeing Pall-Ex’s European growth plan. This has focused on the launch of individual networks in key countries. With freight networks already established in Italy, Iberia and Romania, further Pall-Ex networks in France and Pall-Ex Polska will launch early next year.
