Palletised freight network Pall-Ex has announced two new members, expanding its service offering across the UK.
Hertfordshire-based Bill Chippington Haulage takes responsibility for the LU, AL and WD postcodes. Operating for over two decades, the company has a fleet of over 60 vehicles and has developed a reputation for its strong customer service offering.
Joining Bill Chippington is Tydesley Distribution Services Ltd (TDS), the Manchester-based distribution company, which joins Pall-Ex as an additional depot to cover the BL postcode.
Commenting on the announcement, Steven Reed, Pall-Ex’s network development director, said: “Both businesses are welcome additions to the Pall-Ex network, displaying the professionalism, efficiency and high standards of customer service that we are renowned for.
“More and more customers are recognising the financial and environmental benefits that pallet networks offer and having members such as Bill Chippington and TDS, means that we can continue to expand our service offering in a competitive market place.
“The growth that we are seeing in the UK mirrors our efforts on the continent to establish a Pan-European palletised freight network. The fact that expansion is being achieved in both the domestic and international markets is testament to the pallet network model and the obvious benefits that it offers customers and member hauliers.”
The announcement follows the news that RJ Murray & Son Ltd has also joined Pall-Ex, providing a new base for the network’s Northern Hub in Carlisle.
