The first of a new generation of warehouse equipment, the Cat® NPP16/18/20/N2 powered pedestrian pallet trucks are now available from Impact Handling.

These new trucks combine a careful blend of power and performance  to maximise productivity and minimise whole life costs.

Sturdy chassis construction and endurance tested forks deliver the reliability you expect from Cat® Lift Trucks, reducing maintenance needs and downtime, even in the toughest environments.

With lift capacities of 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 tonnes, each of the new models benefits from smooth AC drive technology, reducing energy consumption and giving precise drive control. An ‘eco’ mode that reduces travel speed, to ensure the smoothest possible handling, also further reduces energy use. The sealed chassis and waterproofed electrics resist moisture, dirt and corrosion, which helps to reduce maintenance downtime and  extends the working life of each truck.

Productivity is also enhanced as the smoother AC drive and the new ergonomic tiller arm make these trucks easier and more precise to operate. Combined with faster acceleration, due to the excellent traction characteristics, more loads can be handled per shift. Operator comfort is enhanced, due to the oil filled transmission that keeps noise levels low and optional, large lift and lower levers can be specified allowing for one handed control, even when gloves are worn.

Linked suspension castors maximise both load and truck stability on any surface. The new design also offers the largest lift height of any comparable truck on the market today, which helps to prevent load damage due to contact with the ground. These features make these trucks suitable for use on dock levellers and uneven surfaces, making them ideal for both horizontal pallet movements and loading/unloading of vehicles.

The new integrated drive and lift system uses fewer components than previous models which combined with easy access to these components makes these trucks easier to maintain, again reducing unnecessary downtime.

The new trucks also feature standard battery sizes in a fully enclosed compartment. This design protects the battery from accidental impact and allows for interchangeability with other brands. An optional roll out facility, on some models, makes them even more suitable for multi-shift operations With improved damage resistance, lower energy consumption, and easier operation these new pallet trucks add to operational efficiency through their dependable performance.
