QTS, manufacturers of the easySHELF wire mesh decking system, has invested heavily into a manufacturing facility at their Hinckley headquarters to bring manufacturing back to the UK as part of their new quick SHIP program which will see lead-times reduced by up to 50%.

The decision to bring manufacturing of the easySHELF system to the UK has been influenced following  demand, which revealed lead-times of smaller quantities of mesh decks up to 300 units, caused the biggest problem to source for customers and co-inside with the manufacture and installation of pallet racking.

Abi Owen, Operations Director, comments, “We take customer feedback very seriously and the introduction of the quick SHIP program proves that. Our customers wanted the same quality and flexibility of products but a shorter lead time, with the launch of the new Quickship shelves we have successfully achieved this.”

The quick-ship program will be available from the 1st of May and offer customers a choice of 6 depths ranging from 600mm to 1200mm in a variety of widths up to 1320mm wide. Weight loadings can also be tailored up to 4000kgs using the existing flared support system. Mr. Shaun Ingram, MD comments ” This is the first major step for QTS in bringing manufacturing back to the UK. I am delighted to see QTS bucking the trend with continual growth in the current economic climate and creating new employment”.
