d Tenens is proud to unveil its livery for the new biogas van fleet based from our Andover depot. The distinctive new livery is complemented with the biogas caption, ‘A greener fuel for a cleaner fleet.’
Howard Tenens leads the logistics industry in environmental innovation, specifically low carbon transport. We have invested in alternative vehicles and fuels for our transport fleet, rolling out dual fuel (gas / diesel) vehicles across the HGV fleet during phase 1 of this strategy. Phase 2 is already in place in Andover with the roll-out of biogas across the HGV and van fleets. Our low carbon transport strategy has been underpinned with the installation of three gas refuelling stations, two of which are grid connected. Howard Tenens is also offering access to their gas refuelling stations, at Andover, Boston and London (South Ockendon), so that others can invest in low carbon vehicles without the high cost of refuelling infrastructure.
Catherine Crouch, Group CRS Director said, “As biogas is effectively carbon neutral we expect 99.8% carbon savings compared to the diesel equivalent. We are delighted with the new eye-catching livery, designed specifically for the biogas van fleet.”
