First manufacturer to offer the Ford V10 engine.

While exhibiting at the annual TMC exhibition in Tampa, FL this week, Capacity talked with customers about the multiple engine options they currently have to offer as well as the up and coming innovations for 2012 and 2013.

Capacity offers more engine options to their customers than any other terminal tractor manufacturer. “Our customers recognize us as the only manufacturer that truly customizes a truck to meet their specific applications and needs,” says Jerry Looney, VP of Sales and Marketing at Capacity. “While other companies are rolling out the Ford V10 engine, we’ve already been offering it to our customers for over a year now.”

Capacity has big plans for the coming years. A few years ago, Capacity began exploring hybrid vehicle technology. “By the end of 2013 we will be offering 3 new eco?friendly engine options including the first ever zero emission terminal truck powered by hydrogen fuel cell technology,” said Looney. Also in development are a Propane Hybrid – due to debut late 2012 and a GM V8 Propane engine that will be offered before the end of 2013.

“The number of engines we offer is substantial. With Capacity, customers can customize the truck for their operation and not have to build their operation around the limitations of other trucks,” said Looney.

Some of the options customers can choose from include the Cummins (QSB T3, T4i and ISB10), Cummins Westport (for CNG/LNG), Navistar MF7 ’10, Ford V10 Propane/Gas, Diesel and Electric Hybrid.

Capacity still stands #1 when it comes to offering its customers more options than anyone else.

Capacity will be displaying their Navistar MF7 ’10 and Cummins at the Mid-America Truck Show, March 22 – 24 in Louisville, KY at booth 61156.
