Leuze electronic’s new BCL300i barcode reader features their “Code reconstruction technology”, which reconstructs damaged or soiled barcodes by piecing together a complete code from overlapping fragments of the code.
This feature, which significantly improves read-rates was previously only available in the highly successful big brother unit the BCL500i which is used in the warehouses of the UK’s best known high street shops.
The BCL300i is half the price of the BCL500i in part because its modular design enables users to select the features that they value, in a uniquely cost effective and flexible unit.
The readers also offer fully integrated fieldbus connectivity, enabling for example a PROFIbus unit be a plug and play replacement at 2am in the morning. A replacement unit would be configured automatically by the PLC across the Profibus network and start working without the need for an engineer to commission it.
As leaders in code reading in warehouses, Leuze electronic offer a wide range of technologies and solutions, including barcode, 2D code, and RFI code reading using laser, vision, UHF & VHF technology- Leuze are therefore able to offer the best technology for the application without the need to make wild claims that any one technology can do everything.
Information including brochures, videos, datasheets are on Leuze’s webpage at www.leuze.co.uk. Online product brochures are at http://www.leuze.com/uk/product_brochures_log.html
