One of the UK’s leading forklift truck accessory providers is celebrating international success after securing a prestigious ports and docks contract.
Contact Attachments, based in Mid Wales, has designed and manufactured a bespoke Aerial Rescue Platform to help ports and docks management authorities salvage injured crew from ships. The product has been produced especially for H.E.F., a long-standing client of the company in Belgium, and has already been installed at Antwerp docks.
The innovative platform is capable of holding up to eight people plus a stretcher, has self-closing and automatic-locking gates for additional security, and is also protected by a salt-resistant coating to ensure the steelwork isn’t corroded by seawater.
“Not only does the bespoke Aerial Rescue Platform designed by Contact Attachments conform with current EU regulations, but it also exceeds new Safety Port Authority Regulations,” Emiel Friejsen, Company Director for H.E.F., revealed.
Joe Headley, International Business Development Manager for Contact Attachments, commented: “The feedback we’ve received about the Aerial Rescue Platform has been extremely positive, and we’ve had a number of enquiries to produce similar products from a range of potential customers. We’ve recently sold two other bespoke rescue platforms to an oil company based in Syria, yet another fast-growing export market for us to add to our current client base in the United States, Africa, the Far East, and across continental Europe.”
Contact Attachments has been designing and manufacturing forklift truck attachments from its base in Newtown, Mid Wales, for over 40 years and is recognised as the quality leader of truck attachments in the UK.
