RUBB

Safety and security are of paramount importance when considering storage of gas bottles, particularly in view of the current health and safety requirements which have come into sharper focus following recent high profile incidents. The Health & Safety Executive note, among other factors, that poor storage is one of the reasons for accidents involving gas cylinders. Designated storage areas, with clear signage are a basic yet effective requirement as they protect the cylinders from fire and impact and deny unauthorised access.

Storage and racking specialists STAKRAK LTD offer a solution with their mesh gas bottle storage cages and cabinets which provide safe and secure storage for just about every site. These robust, lockable cages ensure safe and secure storage for most types of gas cylinders (19kg and 47kg) and are available from stock in a wide range of sizes from 900mm x 1000mm x 500mm (H W D) up to 2000mm x 2000mm x 2000mm.

The cages are made from powder coated 32mm mild steel box section and 2.5mm welded mesh with hinged doors hasp and staple and are supplied flat packed with fixing points for bolting to solid surfaces. Stakrak can also supply fully assembled solid gas bottle storage cages (Calor Approved) which are fitted with a utilities company style lock allowing gas suppliers to gain entry.
