Hörmann’s high speed spiral door for level access bays is already recognised as an energy saving option, with independent consultants calculating that these doors fitted by Hörmann at Asda’s Didcot warehouse would pay for themselves within two years.

The new HS7030 insulated version of this door increases energy savings by utilising the same 42mm thick, CFC free, rigid PU foam insulation that has made Hörmann’s insulated SPU sectional loading bay door the standard by which others are judged.

This door is a completely fresh design that utilises the CFC free foam material to give strength as well as providing high levels of thermal and acoustic insulation. Connecting hinges between the door panels are another Hörmann innovation that add stability leading to an increased service life.

The non-contact roll up technology means there is no wear on the door sections maintaining appearance and allows for fast opening speeds and precise travel also reducing wear and extending operational life.

Double and triple glazed panels featuring Hörmann’s 26mm Duratec scratch resistant glazing are available that ensure that insulation is not compromised while vision panels improve safety and more natural light can be used.

This new door also benefits from an integrated safety light grille that monitors the door opening from ground level to 2.5m high. If this array of light beams is broken the door will not operate. This means there is no need for additional leading edge safety devices or photocells.

With energy costs escalating, the HS7030 in not the only new insulating product from Hörmann.. The thermal efficiency of sectional loading bay doors can be further improved with the with the new ThermoFrame that creates a thermal break between the door frame and the fabric of the building. While the high quality engineering that Hormann has built it’s reputation on gives a precision fit in the door opening, the heavy duty plastic ThermoFrame, with it’s additional seals, leads tro an even more efficient closure.

When ThermoFrame is fitted with the Hörmann SPU insulated loading bay door a dramatic 20% improvement in thermal insulation can be achieved. An even more impressive 40% improvement is possible when fitted with the new UPVC locating and lintel profiles available with the double insulated DPU sectional door.

These latest products are further examples of Hörmann’s commitment to new product development to meet the changing needs of their customers. With design input, technical support as part of the package and a focus on high quality engineering Hörmann continue to supply the most cost effective solutions whatever your needs.
