Globalization is driving growth in the intralogistics industry, which benefits more than almost any other sector from the increasing integration of world trade. And the industry’s most important international showcase is CeMAT, which takes place once every three years at the Exhibition Grounds in Hannover. The last CeMAT in 2008 attracted some 1,100 exhibitors from 35 countries and 60,000 trade visitors from all over the world. Over 45 per cent of the exhibitors came from outside Germany, while the corresponding figure for visitors was in excess of 35 per cent. For manufacturers CeMAT has become the platform of choice for presenting genuine technical innovations.

A complete industry line-up

Whether innovative and energy-saving fork lifts and industrial trucks, complex fully automated conveyor systems, shelving and warehousing systems or the latest developments in IT – every section of the intralogistics industry is represented at CeMAT in Hannover. Cranes, hoisting gear, access platforms, along with auto-ID systems, robot logistics and packaging equipment for intralogistics – they are all fully covered at the show. Two new display categories – logistics real estate and port handling equipment – were added to the line-up for CeMAT 2008.

Because of the global significance of the CeMAT brand for the international logistics industry, four more regional CeMAT events have now been established.

CeMAT South America: The premiere of CeMAT South America took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from 4 to 7 April 2011. This event proved to be a great success.
