As part of its focus on key customers, market leadership and innovative product development, Pregis Protective Packaging Europe has formed the Pregis Distributor Council (PDC) to help speed-to-market packaging solutions for end-use customers across Europe.
The PDC will include representatives from Pregis distributors throughout Europe and has been established as a two-way communications vehicle, delivering support for distributors and providing valuable feedback on market trends and customer requirements that will assist Pregis in the development of new protective packaging products.
“We want to take an innovative, solutions-based approach to the distributor relationship,” explains Kevin Baudhuin, Global President of Protective Packaging. “Our goal is to inform, communicate solutions and focus on getting our customers protective packaging results.”
“At the same time, we are also establishing a platform to obtain end-user feedback from distributors on a regular basis. This will enable us to continue developing products, equipment and services to meet their needs. Although we operate on a pan European basis, it is important that we take into account the particular requirements of individual countries and the PDC will help us to do this more effectively.”
The ultimate goal is to empower distributors so that they are better equipped to partner with packagers in ways which add true value to the relationship. Because distributors function as the conduit between Pregis and the packager, the company believes that it is important to arm them with as much knowledge as possible so their mutual customer benefits in a solid way.
